lackingdazehi and sorry for a late as usual media round-up post um i've experienced....a lot in november 😀 i don't even think i've consumed that much media in november but i wanted to just do a separate post now that i'm done with finals since i feel like i'm (hopefully) going to be watching/reading a lot of stuff in december! anyways lets get into it

watched this one at a school theater with my friends and it was so good and heartbreaking TT-TT ando sakura is an absolute powerhouse. this is my first koreeda film but i definitely want to check out more of his works

forgot to log this on letterboxd oops um well anyways had to drive like 30 min away to watch this at some random theater during thanksgiving break, but it was a fun time <3 i don't think i'm ever going to get that pearl scene out of my mind ++ THE RANDOM LESBIAN MOMENT AT THE END? love that for kristen stewart tho.

umm watched like 2 eps while doing my makeup before i went out, mainly started this for yoo ah in but his character is annoying af in this + not a fan of the gore + THE MONSTERS LOOK WORSE THAN THE ONES FROM SWEET HOME? i feel like it'd have more horror potential if they just never showed the monsters tbh, who let this one happen.

this came out on netflix so i had to rewatch it, since i do think it's one of my favorite k-dramas.....main couple relationship kind of grates on me + jang kiyong looks clapped here with that hair. but also this is the gayest girlboss kdrama EVER and soojung/dahee/hyejin childhood girlfriends/ex-work wives triangulation is literally so serious.
school 2021 [continuing]
finally putting a face to the name kim yohan of pdx fame....anyways started this expecting it to be horrible but it's actually not as bad as i thought it would be. it seems a bit lighter than what i would expect of the school drama franchise but then again i haven't watched the other dramas in this series either and only know of the brand from lee jongsuk/kim woobin school 2013 angst tumblr gifs so. idr know how to feel about this show but umm i'm going to keep watching it for now <3 also am i crasy for thinking jo yihyun looks like hyeongjun....i just think he could have been casted as her floppy college grad gay older brother <3

ohmygawd i forgot i was watching this truly godawful drama in the middle of my finals. um tldr jang kiyong/song hyekyo in devil meets prada meets eat pray love [actually ive never watched this] meets every single girlbaws kdrama project jang kiyong has been a part of, but this drama feels aesthetic and emotionally like if an anthropologie store in delaware was a kdrama. if that makes sense. not that i really know anything about fashion nor speaking french but also the way the fashion industry is portrayed in this is ehmmmm. interesting.

BUT ALSO LIKE......i may or may not shamefully have watched swf youtube interview clips and also the gala show. anyways i feel like all the mnet drama is going to be bs as usual and i'm a little worried about the teenage aspect of this but hopefully all the girls will be okay 🥲 also confused on how the rest of the show is gonna carry out with the team joining concept but i do rlly like (and think that its horribly genius of mnet) that the judging panel are the previous swf contestants

a dry reading month as usual, with school/research readings + some very bad manuscripts. i did however get around to are you listening and on a sunbeam by tillie walden. i finished the former and i'm about to finish on a sunbeam later tonight, i don't usually read graphic novels but tillie walden's art is gorgeoussss and i really love the tenderness she brings to her stories 😭

hahaha. well i wrote a research paper and then some of the worst final papers of my life 🥰i got surprisingly positive feedback on my research paper even though i think it's actually doing a grave disservice to [] and is actually so laughable that i would never get into grad school with it [if i wanted to] but ummmm well. anyways manifesting i get back to writing my suntak wip and finish it, maybe it'll be my retirement fic

hahaha [2]. life has been on the rougher side for me lately and also especially within the past few days......i genuinely think i need to undergo some kind of purification ritual or something bc my bad luck is just comical and cursed at this point. i also hate my school so damn much <3 why are "academic institutions" actually so greedy and useless <3 on the bright side, i am officially done with my quarter + internship and now i'm looking at two months of free time so hopefully i can truly relax and live peacefully before study abroad TT-TT <3

HGFFFGJO losing it at ur school 2013 history but also relate on the lee jongsuk stannery….why was he perf to me at the age of 13. and ummm so far school 2021 is NOT passing the bl/love_is_love litmus test so we’ll have to see if there’s any messy gay subplot later on but so far everyone is painfully str8 😭
