beauty routine these days
base
moisturizer: dr. g a'clear balancing lotion
sunscreen: round lab birch tree sun cream
concealer: back to using maybelline fit me in shade sand but sometimes i use the kosas concealer wheni can't remember where i put the maybelline concealer. the former is like drugstore naked dupe, i like to apply the tip directly to my under eyes, spread it out with my fingers, let it sit for a bit, then go back in with cushion puff + setting spray to buff it out evenly
foundation: usually don't use but if i do, the only one in the routine right now is the rom&nd bare water cushion. the finish right off the bat is beautiful and doesn't require setting spray while buffing b/c it's already super dewy but it definitely moves around the face if you don't set it.
powder: literally cannot find my etude house no sebum powder rn. but i need to get a pressed powder bc i hate loose powders......
setting spray: nyx dewy finish setting spray. tbh idek if it's that good i've just never used a setting spray other than this and the elf coconut one, which is pretty bad.
blush: fwee blusher mellow in sunshine guava...you already know. i wish more people talked about this but i also don't bc it's part of my identity rn....sometimes switch it up with the canmake cream cheek blush in #17 caramel latte (kind of patchy) and the glossier cloud paint in beam (which is still flattering but i hate the packaging so much)
contour: too cool for skool art class by rodin. og neutral contour that you can't go wrong with, gives me a marginal nose job when i go in with a small, fluffy eyeshadow brush etc. also good for setting brows!
eyes
eyebrows: espoir the brow balance pencil. still trying to get a good handle on this..recently reshaping my brows to be more straight to compliment my face shape + make more space for eye makeup, and i feel like my brows get a bit too dark when i go in fully w/ the eyebrow pencil? so i've been putting a lot of eyeshadow on my brows or sometimes the contour powder to fill it in while also lightening it.
eyeshadow: too faced natural matte palette that is like 20 million years old, discontinued, and needs to be replaced bc the fallout hurts my eyes. somehow i've yet to hit pan and i love all the colors in this....taking eye shadow palette recommendations (that preferably includes a dark brown/black shade!).
aegyo-sal: not to be cringe but literally drawing aegyo-sal is like the equivalent of botox to me it is so necessary......[faceism/lookism/cosmetic procedure whatever: jura v svanyyl trg ntr-nccebcevngr haqrerlr whinqrez obgbk be jungrire naq shyyl fynl zl haqrerlr znxrhc jvgubhg gur qnex ontf trggvat va gur jnl... arkg 3 lrnef va gur znxvat] also getting psychic damage thinking about how some girl in an asam class tried to make it a subject of discourse a la omi & winant SOME OF US JUST ARE JUST HAGGARD AND BENEFIT FROM UNDER EYE FAT....anyways where was i, ok my general routine for this is going in with the colorgram aegyo-sal maker in #3 real (goated), then going over that with the contour powder. then putting a base light shadow/highlight shade above the contour, focusing in on the center and lots of layered blending. then glitter on top. wait as i'm writing this i realized my eye makeup routine is so complicated, i also like to do under eye liner on the outer edges (occasionally leaving a gap to widen the eyes)!! i feel like i'm not doing a good job explaining this but um basically i just mishmashed techniques from tiktok douyin makeup tutorials and korean youtube muas....anyways i can't actually do aegyo-sal all the time because it needs to be balanced out by lashes, which i'm lazy to do half the time, so this is only incorporated into my routine like 70% of the time (math???)
glitters: actually not the biggest fan of the rom&nd glitter palette bc the fallout is annoying but it works well with vaseline + sponge-tip eyeshadow applicators. per last makeup post, i get way more use on this with my friend who has a thicker double eyelid than on myself (lowk hooded eyes and thin double lids), so if that's your eye shape/or you do idol makeup looks frequently it's much more cost effective. i'm learning that i like finer shimmers and glitters, so i've been returning to the elf liquid eyeshadow in moon and the peripera duo pocket glitter shadow in caramelized salt. the shimmer shade in the latter is a very beautiful burnt orange that's lighter than it looks in the pan. also begrudgingly using the 3ce eye glint stick in moon pie b/c i spent $$ on it even tho i feel like you might as well just eat the cost of getting the laura mercier eyeshadow stick / bobbi brown eyeshadow stick than deal with the fallout and patchy texture of this knockoff....never buy something u just swatch once in stores
mascara: holy grail kiss me heroine mascara. but now it's getting pretty clumpy so i'm excited to try the etude house mascara. in terms of eyelashes, i'm truly suffering fr (poll: should i just get a lash perm/extensions...) but i think 50% of it could be solved if i had an eyelash curler that actually fit my eye shape!!!!!! for my routine, it's just a battle with using a lighter to heat up the useless missha curler and then putting on mascara and then curling again while trying not to rip off my lashes....also been attempting to shape my lashes with my tweezers but much practice still needed
lips
balm: rip to jaemin but i hopped on the lanolips bandwagon first......nothing else fixes my chapped lips
color: rom&nd juicy lasting tint 5ever. i use nucademia religiously + occasionally been switching it up with dark coconut. also sometimes use this random 3ce lipstick that i find once in a blue moon when i'm switching bags.
body
deodorant: maybe tmi but i need to put everyone onto the kosas aha serum deodorant bc why did it change my life. maybe kosas doesn't flop at everything!! the texture when u put it on is annoying bc it's a gel that needs to dry but once it does it lasts for the whole day and leaves no scent which is perfect for layering on perfumes
perfume: going back to the basics with the jo malone peony and suede perfume that friends got me for my bday last year. my thing with scents is that i love trying out new things but i sometime get sick of scents after a few hours and start getting a headache...this is the only one in my rotation (other than dedcool milk) that doesn't do that to me because it's just a basic floral perfume with banal notes. also recently swatched the lush lust solid perfume and i might buy it!! couldn't tell if it smelled that good on me but it faded ok
