i want to start using dw more bc i got so harrowed listening to jia tolentino's trick mirror on the drive back to school after thanksgiving break like. 4.5 hour drive deepthinking on internet personality formation is no joke!!

anyways, in the same ironic vein, i actually bought a bunch of things during holiday/black friday sales this year.

clothing:

1. neiwai barely zero bras — i've had my eye on these for a whileeee and yes they are as comfy as the youtubers say they are. in general i hate bras but sometimes i still feel the need to wear them for certain tops and these r good for that <3 i think once they go on sale again i will purchase some more (in black and green hopefully). kind of annoying that they have to be handwashed but fingers crossed they hold up

2. aritiza shimmer dress in light birch — guys why is buying a GRAD DRESS so tiring for no mf reason. definitely starting the search early but it's bc i want to get grad things out of the way so i don't have to think about them come job hunting szn. generally more than i would want to spend on a dress but i think i can get a lot of function out of this and it looks good on the aritiza girlies so i hope it works for me (and that i don't have to hem it....being 5"0 on a good day is also no joke.)
⭐️ update #1: it does not fit me....well it does but not in a way that is flattering and the problem isn't even the length!! anyways i do appreciate how comfortable it is but definitely can't tolerate how loose the neckline is / how awkward and puckered the darts are considering the price.
⭐️ update #2: THE INHERENT EVILS OF 14 DAY ONLINE RETURN POLICIES. mad i have to go in person to exchange it for store credit but umm maybe i'll just buy my mom's xmas present from aritzia then

3. crocs cutie crush clogs in white — um. actually i just wanted the regular womens lavender crocs but they didn't have it in my size and my mom has recently been converted into a crocs fan so she wanted me to get one so she could get free shipping......anyways these are children's shoes
⭐️ update: THEY LITERALLY DON'T FIT (too small). i think i'm just doomed to never fit into crocs. can we start manifesting a good pair of boots for me instead

beauty:

1. rom&nd juicy lasting tint in nucademia and dark coconut — i need to stop buying lip products but also i will never change i will never improve and that is a promise. watched a bunch of yt swatches before this, hoping nucademia will be perfect MLBB and dark coconut will be perfect MLBB but winter.
⭐️ update: THEY'RE PERFECT. nucademia is definitely mlbb and i usually don't like glossy lip products but the texture doesn't bother me and the staying power is impressive <3 dark coconut is also so good for the upcoming winter months, gonna try to get a lot of wear out of it during this break

2. colorgram milk bling glitter liner — was iffy on this but then i saw some girl on tiktok swatch it and omg. in general i've been wanting more white + glitter + color liners to try out more makeup looks so hopefully this will maximize my slay or smthing
⭐️ update: not as pronounced as i thought it would be (then again it isn't a gel liner) but it's kind of perfect for putting underneath your eye/any part you want to subtly highlight.

3. round lab birch juice moisturizing sun cream — my holy grail sun screen, just a repurchase bc of the sale

4. dr. g a' clear balancing moisturizer — re: above except i'm just too lazy to find another moisturizer and idt they make too much of a difference on my face as long as they are ok in texture

things i didn't get but really wanted to:

1. dedcool smiley face garden + milk fragrances — in love w/ this smell combo and i want to smell like this forever. gonna wait until prob jan/feb to get the 15ml of each bc i don't trust myself to finish a whole 1.7 fl oz bottle

2. apieceofcake bear hoodie — why are w concept prices outrageous.....still on the hunt for the perfect two way zip grey hoodie (the cgp also looks good but again $$)

3. aeie puffed waves bag — this is not even the kind of bag i need but i'm kind of aeie fan. realistically i don't think i have the lifestyle that lends to wearing their clothes but i still enjoy their designs so much <3
